Happiness does seem really elusive for some people and I have to say that I have had bad years that only seem to be overcome by a new year. I notice though that there are some people who like to complain and don’t ever do anything about their problems. I’ve found that like you have written, if you don’t have the right attitude, it will be hard to be happy. It is also about taking action, giving yourself permission to do whatever it is that will make you happy eg leaving a job, going on holiday, fighting back, taking time for yourself or saying no to friends / family. A great book that I read is called The Book of Luck by Heather Summers and Anne Watson, which identifies character traits from successful people.

  2. Its very truely said in the post that our aim speaks for our achievements. To have an aim / goal in the life is very important. Be achieve the aim, it has to be very essential to go and to proceed with the path that takes you to the real destination…

Thank you for this post, inspiring! I think people tend to forget the big picture of happiness and focus on the day to day affairs. I find it really hard to disconnect from small annoying events, because i just can’t ignore them, i need to fix them in order to make things better. So how do you make the difference between things that need fixing and attention and others, that are just distractions?

    Thanks :)

Happiness doesn’t require too much effort. Just accept things and be contented with what you have. That is the key to true happiness. It doesn’t require any material things.
